Sarah, mom of 12 and 14 year olds
Hello and welcome! My name is Liz Rosenberg. I taught kindergarten for 11 years and I absolutely loved it -- the connections I made with students and parents, the growth and progress I got to witness, and that a-ha moment when the content clicks. At the same time, I saw the many ways I was unable to be as effective as I'd like to due to institutional challenges. Additionally, as is likely relatable, I found that becoming a parent changed me in ways I couldn't have expected. I thought I would retire teaching at the same school, in the same grade, even in the same exact classroom. But when I noticed the important, but draining work left me with no energy for my family at the end of the day, I knew I was in need of a change. And so here I am, tutoring students and providing support for you as you navigate parenthood and your child's education. I do my best work when I have strong, meaningful relationships with others. I look forward to learning about you and your child. I love yoga and meditation, as well as barre3, where I exercise and work a few hours a week. I am a language fanatic and am always learning more about word use and origin. Outside of working with other people's children, I spend most of my free time with my own. Our favorite activity is going to the zoo.
